What is the difference between Contact Email and Account Recovery Email?

Korrio allows you to set up two kinds of email addresses for your account:

Communications Contact Email

This is required. This is the email address where you will receive last-minute alerts or notifications, and where other club members can contact you. To set your Contact Email follow these steps:Screen_Shot_2013-08-15_at_8.11.05_AM.png

  1. Click on Account in the left-hand menu in your personal dashboard.
  2. Click on the 'Profile' tab.
  3. In the 'Personal Information' drop-down click on 'Edit' for the Contact Email.
  4. Enter your preferred contact email address and click 'Save'.

Korrio also lets parents choose their child's Communications Contact. Parents can change this setting to either Contact Child Directly or one of the existing attached Adult accounts. To set your child's communications contact follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Child's profile page by clicking on their name.
  2. Click on Account in the left-hand menu.
  3. Go to the 'Settings' tab.
  4. Click on 'Edit' for Communications Contact, pick either Contact Child Directly or one of the parents, and click 'Save'.

Note: If a child's communications contact is set to one of the parents, then they would share the same contact email.

Login & Account Recovery Email

This is the email address that you log in with if you choose not to log in with your username; Korrio lets you pick whichever you prefer. This is also the email address where Korrio will send "Forgot my Password" emails. To set this email follow these steps:

  1. Click on Account in the left-hand menu in your personal dashboard.
  2. Click on the 'Settings' tab.
  3. In the General Account Settings drop-down click on 'Edit' next to the ' Login & Account Recovery Email'.
  4. Enter your desired account recovery email address and click 'Save'.

Note: These email addresses are unique for each user in our system. Therefore, a child and their parent will not have the capability to have the same Login email address on their account.
